Optimal Person-Job Matching Expert System Development

Optimal Person-Job Matching Expert System Development

The objective of this internally supported research is to develop a comprehensive, personal-computer-based vocational assessment and job placement system. Optimal Person-Job Matching (OPJM) uses mathematical and statistical procedures to coordinate the placement of job seekers into an array of positions that match their talents (within one company or across many organizations).

This approach to employment testing differs from traditional employer selection because it incorporates vocational counseling into the job placement process; considers applicants for many jobs, not just one, and attempts to reconcile the often conflicting needs of the individual and the organization. The outcome of this project will be a portable, personal-computer-based OPJM validation system.
